Description of A Haunted House
The chilly darkness of night allowed the moonlight to stretch only slightly beyond the ground level in front of the deteriorating old house. The entering invitation came from the door which squeaked in the wind beside its damaged windows. Many legends originate from this building which locals avoid entering but spend their time gossiping about. The “Description of A Haunted House” always starts with something simple: an abandoned place with a dark past. When I drew nearer the building ended up feeling denser than usual so I realized this structure contained some kind of peculiar life force.
The building walls seemed to move through breathing motions while musical whispers coming from the wind chilled me to the bone. Old paint layers on the walls revealed themselves one by one as the building’s walls breathed with stench and odor from decay. The floorboards produced extended echoes with each movement because someone seemed to be quite near behind me. The structure maintained all sounds of weeping and shouts and hidden truths within its walls.
What Made It So Terrifying
The scariest part of the “Description of A Haunted House” isn’t just what you see—it’s what you feel. As an unseen figure that lingers in the darkness the house appears to recognize whatever resident enters the space. Random light flashes occurred throughout the house while areas that contained no ventilation produced freezing temperatures. Enigmatic wall carvings emerged from the darkness which seemed like someone tried to provide an ominous warning before perishing.
Both the untreated mirror failed to form a reflection and the keyless locked room remained sealed tight. Your real source of terror stems from the ominous silence rather than ghostly apparitions since this place once experienced atrocious events while retaining the potential for more threats to occur. That’s the real fear behind the “Description of A Haunted House,” and it stays with you long after you leave.
