Ethos, Logos, and Pathos in Black Men’s Discrimination

By examining ethos logos and pathos in Black men’s prejudice we gain clear methods to study how reasoning about racial injustice works. People applying rhetorical appeals use these methods (credibility, logic, and emotion) throughout media and activism to show what Black men experience from racism in society.

Study of these appeal patterns helps us find top methods to fight discrimination and highlight unfair treatment. These tactics of speaking both describe injustice and control how people emotionally and mentally process this issue.

The use of credibility, evidence, and emotion helps people understand and solve the social problems that influence the way Black men are treated. Ethos develops with testimonies from reliable members of the Black community such as scholars, activists, and community leaders.

Statistics on differences in policing contacts or occupational outcomes present logical support to show the unequal treatment. The speaker seeks to touch readers’ emotions by telling them about people who suffered discrimination in law enforcement and faced unfair incarceration and passed trauma from one generation to the next.

By sharing personal experiences and facts along with emotional stories these elements promote compassion towards the matter.
