Ever since I can recall, I find myself interested in grasping the reasons why people think, feel and act as they do. Whether it was supporting a friend who was going through a rough period in his or her life or listening to someone who needed to express himself or herself, I felt content and a sense of meaning in being able to be there for others. As the years went by, this natural curiosity became the desire to learn more about the human mind. I understood that each behavior has a story, and I wanted to be someone who understood those stories, being able to help people find peace and direction.

Selecting a career is one of the majors in life, and for me, the way was made clear by experiences and exposure on the inside. Psychology as a Profession: Personal Statement is thus not a mere academic interest but also a reflection of who I am. The essence of studying psychology does not resemble a separate subject but forms an integral part of the person I am. I am interested in how therapy can change someone’s life and how research can influence mental health care. The chance to reach people, resonate with their problems, and positively impact their development is what I appreciate a lot.

I hope to become an effective not just good professional person, but also empathetic. I believe that Empathy, patience and good communication are equally important for somebody in this field along with the technical knowledge. As I take my first steps forward for building career in psychology, I realize the journey may not be always easy, but it will certainly be worth.
